Sandlot 7v7 Pro-Am Challenge
Tampa Bay, 2022 – Present
7v7 is the leading game for emerging football talent, female players and soon, Olympic athletes. Sandlot 7v7 was conceived by former players and supported by the NFL Players Association to unite the past, present and future of football greatness. Launched in 2022, Sandlot is the only youth 7v7 tournament where teams are coached, mentored or sponsored by a an NFL pro.
As Sandlot’s Media Director, I helped grow a social media following from the ground up, created content, developed content calendars and coordinated with photographers and videographers. I secured local and national coverage of the event with a successful PR and earned media campaign. I supported internal and external communications, including sponsorships. In 2024, Sandlot hosted over 100 teams, nearly 2,000 attendees and approximately three-dozen active and former NFL players, including multiple Hall of Famers.
Derby City Reunion Weekend
Louisville, 2022
The Derby City Reunion Weekend was a homecoming for NFL quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Teddy Bridgewater. More than 2,000 children and adults attended the community celebration of health and wellness at the sprawling Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville’s West End. Dozens of local vendors and nonprofits were on-site offering family support, health services, substance abuse prevention, continuing education opportunities, career counseling and more. Youth ran drills with two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and 2014 first-round draft pick Teddy Bridgewater. Both players were awarded keys to the city by then-Mayor Greg Fischer.
As the Media Director for DCRW, I built the website and ran a successful earned media campaign. I supported internal and external communications, including sponsorships and vendors.
